Of Chester and Jordan Barber of Kannapolis, NC; three sisters, Mary Kay Wessinger of Lake Wylie, Jean Ann Sisk and husband Dusty of Richburg, Jane Ellen Barber of Chester; one brother, Jerry Barber of Hudson, Florida. Bobby Wofford Mathis, Jr. passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 in Doctor’s Hospital of Augusta. He was the son of the late Bobby W. Mathis and Beulah Varnadore Mathis Wright. He is survived by his half-brother, Travis E. Wright of Great Falls; aunt, Brenda V. Price of Columbia. He was a 1983 graduate of Great Falls High School. At the age of 15 he had a traumatic and paralyzing motorcycle accident. Funerals allow us to reflect on the meaning of life and death.
